The Howling

Far into the night I hear the Wolf howl.

It keeps me awake.

No cacophony but one raised voice

Poignant and filled with terrible loneliness.

I imagine him there,  head thrown back

Tension in every sinew

A silhouette,  a ghost

Hot breath rising on the breeze like mist

About Marie

An eccentric & quirky artist and writer who fills her time between fantasy roleplaying sessions with painting, writing and playing her guitar (rather badly). Usually to be found with paint-stained fingers surrounded by books and tubes of acrylic paint.
