Crow

Where do you go,  crow,  in darkness at night?

Whispering feathers so silent in flight.

Where do you go,  crow,  do you melt in the dark?

And form again,  morning,  up with the lark?

Where do you go,  crow,  when the moon calls?

Moonlight arises as sunlight falls.

Where do you go,  crow,  silky black feathers?

Bundle of bag-bones,  bird of all weathers.

Where do you go,  crow,  bird of black light?

Void in the darkness,  hole in the night.

Where do you go,  crow,  evil and dark?

Fly low overhead,  and silent dogs bark.

Where do you go,  crow,  shining black eye?

Window to darkness,  soul meeting sky.

Where do you go,  crow,  on land or in sky?

Joy in the elements,  likes soaring high.

Where do you go,  crow,  do you roost in a tree?

Watching all movements –  do you see me?

Where do you go,  crow,  spirit of fear?

When the light flees,  I know you are near.

About Marie

An eccentric & quirky artist and writer who fills her time between fantasy roleplaying sessions with painting, writing and playing her guitar (rather badly). Usually to be found with paint-stained fingers surrounded by books and tubes of acrylic paint.
