Homage To Stephen King (Poem_

This post is dedicated to Stephen King.  I’ve been reading a lot of his work lately and have always loved his books.  So, I wanted to write a poem about it.  Enjoy.

Homage

Carrie me away, Big Wheels on a Buick 8 this Misty morning
In your Dark Tower I will do the Danse Macabre with Doctor Sleep
Paranoid? not me, I can’t help my Chattery Teeth it’s my Dark Half
I’m the Woman In The Room doing the Graveyard Shift tonight
Trying to catch My Pretty Pony – I need Insomnia, man,
It’s already the Fifth Quarter and Everything’s Eventual don’t you know?
I’m a Bag of Bones Riding the Bullet in Desperation
Winning’s a fairy tale; a Memory for my Golden Years
I’ll have One For The Road and read with Dedication till
It’s late; Four Past Midnight on the Night Shift
A Jaunt, a Silver Bullet but it Grows On You.

About Marie

An eccentric & quirky artist and writer who fills her time between fantasy roleplaying sessions with painting, writing and playing her guitar (rather badly). Usually to be found with paint-stained fingers surrounded by books and tubes of acrylic paint.

I really enjoyed this. I’m not an avid Stephen King reader, but I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read of his. This is very witty. Great job. 🙂
